These sweet clients just moved into their house recently, and they wanted to get started off on the right foot in the organization process. In the move, they had just put all of their food and drinks into the pantry without really thinking about where things should go. That's where I came in.
The first thing I did was move all of the wine glasses out of the pantry. These homeowners have a separate bar area, so we put all of the glasses in those cupboards instead. That gave me a lot more space to move food around. I set up the right side of the pantry to use for drinks and paper products like napkins, paper plates, and plastic utensils.
That gave the entire left side of the pantry as space that could be designated for food. We put the cans on tiers on the middle shelf. Snacks are in bins down below. Cereal, crackers are on the shelf above the cans. Above that are bins for noodles, pasta, grains, rice, etc.
The back wall is being used for condiments and sauces on one shelf. All the clients baking items are on one shelf, and food storage items are easily accessible on the bottom shelf.
Here is a final before and after! Everything has a home, and the client now knows where to find everything and where to put everything.
